Lonely, Intrepid Space Traveler:

Once, there was a lonely and intrepid space traveler. He flew all across the universe. And did so at a time in the earth's history, when space travel was altogether a scientific impossibility. So, being the only lonely and intrepid space traveler, this lonely and intrepid space traveler had quite a bit to explore. But of all the mysteries in the cosmos, of all of the secrets of the universe, this lonely and intrepid space traveler's favorite place in all of the universe, was in fact, the earth's lonely and intrepid companion, the moon. The moon was not in fact lonely. For she had an eternal companion, the earth. The earth made her not so lonely. The earth's companionship gave her a constant and consistent friend. Two smiling stars of light, floating eternally through the universe. Eternally caught up within eachother's loving embrace. The reason lonely and intrepid space traveler appreciated the moon so much was because of the purity of the moon. He adored her humility, her luminosity. Like an egg, bleached and sundried, ready to hatch a youngling, she reflected every sort of light by its purity of white. Of all of the purity of the face of the moon, though, this lonely and intrepid space traveler's favorite part was a lonely and intrepid moon rock. How glorious a moon rock it was! Lonely and intrepid space traveler found moon rock seated happily on the face of the moon, happily smiling up into the sky. Moon rock was the purest, most whitest and humble of all on the face of the moon. Lonely and intrepid space traveler was so endeared by moon rock's purity, he would not dare to disturb it. Instead, he left it where it was and visited it daily on his lonely and intrepid space travels. But, lonely and intrepid space traveler would spend time on the earth as well. Lonely and intrepid space traveler visited many women, anxiously searching for his eternal companion. He had searched the earth completely for a pure and humble heart. Finding in none of the hearts he met, the heart he was searching for, he would often return to moon rock, to spend time with her. Until one day, lonely and intrepid space traveler had given up hope of ever finding his own eternal companion, one so close as the earth was to the moon. That day, that very day, lonely and intrepid space traveler was seated on a park bench, smiling and gazing up into the sky. When he gazed up, lonely and intrepid space traveler saw the most beautiful and humble and pure creature walking towards him. She had a smile on her face as pure and humble as moon rock's. It lit up the sky like the sunshine. Her name was Shemesh, like the sunshine. The two fell in love like gravity at terminal velocity. One day, lonely and intrepid space traveler took Shemesh into the stars. They visited moon rock but when the two saw her, they were surprised because she was no longer smiling. Instead, moon rock had on her expression, the most content and peaceful of guises. When the two approached her, suddenly she opened her eyes, smiled warmly and said, "At last, my dear, intrepid space traveler, you have found your eternal companion. I am so happy. At last, you have found a purity of heart that has no other comparison. No, not even me."
