Sun Drop:
One time, there was a wee, smiling planet, orbiting his star. The other planets always picked on him. He was smaller. He wasnt surrounded by an atmosphere of gas. He was made of rock. Rocky just didnt have it in him to muster up the same gas as the others in the system. It made him sad. Still, of all these planets, some small, others massive, Rocky was the closest to Mr. Sun. Some of the others said thats why he couldnt grow a gas cloud around him. Mr. Sun just blew it away before he was able to form it. Mr. Sun smiled at Rocky in spite. Actually, his closeness made the other planets quite jealous. One day, when all of the orbits were in alignment, Gassy sent a barrage of meteors straight in Rockys direction. Now, Rocky had been struck by a meteor before. Every planet and planetesimle knows the sting of a meteor! These meteors that Gassy sent was especially large. And so, Mr. Sun, on seeing what Gassy had done dropped a little sundrop from his surface to gobble up the meteor. Just careful enough to avoid gobbling up Rocky at this same time. Gassy and the others, upon seeing the way Mr. Sun had come to Rockys defence, simply harbored more jealousy. This envy brooded for a while. Then, all of them together sent barages of meteors and meteorites in Rockys direction. Mr. Sun tried hard to gobble up each and every meteor but at a point, Rocky was struck by a meteor half his size. Mr. Sun, the one who works all things for good, blew his solar wind in such a way to keep Rocky in his orbit. But, something fantastic occurred! From Rockys core, another Rocky formed! This Rocky was smaller. This humble solar system had seen nothing of the sort in its long, lonely history. Rocky called his new companion Rocky 2. Mr. Sun tried to tell him, he was called a moon. But Rocky would not hear it. The other planets were shocked and delighted at these occurances. So much so that they started sending meteors at one another! While they were doing this, Mr. Sun took Rocky close to his bosom, and said, "I love you my son. Never fear. Trust in me. All will work out."
